Toss a Ball of Aluminum / Tin Foil

Make your own crinkle ball with some aluminum or tin foil! Many cats go crazy for shiny things, so something as simple as a scrunched-up foil ball can provide plenty of happy distractions. Like most DIY cat toys, make sure to supervise playtime. You wouldn’t want your cat accidentally swallowing any pieces of foil.

How do you keep your cat entertained with scrunched-up foil balls? That depends on your cat! Some will happily bat the ball around on their own, while others might prefer a game of fetch with your help. Just make sure the foil ball is large enough that your cat can’t easily swallow it.
