Hiding Treats in Snuffle Mats

Snuffle mats aren’t just for dogs! These enrichment toys can work just as well for cats (though maybe not all of them). We especially love that both of our cats can forage through the mat at the same time, making it an affordable and fun option for households with multiple cats.

Snuffle mats are super easy to use! If it’s your cats’ first time with a snuffle mat, try starting with their favorite treats to get them motivated. Hide a few treats in the loose fabric and also place a few on top so your cats know the treats are there for the taking. Don’t forget to give the snuffle mat a quick shake once your cat finishes, as there are likely to be a few treats they might have missed.
